How to save on auto insurance

You are probably aware of all the ways to save money on auto insurance if you are a user warned. You Google a search for auto insurance, low cost car insurance, cheap car, and that arises? Esurance, Geico agencies, Progressive, and few other over-insurance. It is a good start, but if you’re like me I found that I fill out a form with at least three of these services you will realize that some cold hard facts.

Esurance, Geico, Progressive, and few other agencies on insurance online. It is a good start, but if you’re like me I found that I fill out a form with at least three of these services you will realize that some cold hard facts.

• It took about 15-20 minutes to get the completed form • I have provided much information • They could not beat my current premium • They had insurance agents calling me • If they had insurance agents called me they asked some of the same questions I already answered • Auughh! It was a waste of time.

Has this ever happened to you? Have you quit looking because of the aggravation? Well, it made me and I hated wasting my time. Each listed company when you do a simple search for car insurance is an insurance company or agency. Did you know that between 30-40 insurance companies in each state for car insurance? If each of these agencies cited five insurance companies (which is the most I’ve been offered) you spend at least 2-3 hours include – but some do not name five, they cite only one, as Geico – so you are more likely to call for 3-4 hours to see the full market.

Most companies have large advertising budgets are not the most competitive – even when you give quotes progressive they are with other carriers that tend to be less competitive than others. These advertisers are hoping that you are already a very expensive insurance and many of you – if they win.

It makes sense because all these insurance companies and insurance agencies are paid by you to purchase a policy, they receive a commission is a percentage of the premium. The joint commission between 10% – 25% for each policy. Do you see the bias in this area? Year, agency or insurance company is paid a percentage of the premium, the more your premium the better off the agent or company. With this system because the agent or company have any reason to shop your insurance or lower your rates? No, they do not. They do not want to lose your business, but they do not want to offer you a rate that is 50% less either, it would be a pay cut. Thus, the online service are not buying a service because they want is for you to buy a policy with them. The advertising is to draw and they hope you are with a very expensive and they can reduce some costs – but a real shopping service would save the most. The incentive for them to be a fee or percentage of savings. It is the only way it works for you, if it works against your goal.

Now I hope you understand the system a little better, then how can you get the advantage on the system?

• Do not be fooled by advertising creative

• shop your insurance every three years and be sure to get some quotes from independent agents and direct writers • Pay attention to the progressive rate increases each year • See if they are to apply all available funds – good driver, claim free, multi-car • Your credit score effects your rate right now (do not even get me started on this) Subject • Have a shopping service to work for you, or preparing to pass several hours of shopping
